Troponin-I (cTnI) Rapid test Kits, also called one-step cTnI tests, are a fast In-Vitro (IVD) rapid test based on immunochromatographic principle. Cardiac Troponin I is a protein which is specific to heart muscle. Cardiac Troponin I Tests are designed for qualitative determination of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) in human serum or plasma specimens. One-step Troponin-I tests are an aid in the medical diagnosis of myocardial infection, which are very easy to perform. Rapid cTnI test kits requires only a few drops of blood and simple enough to be done in an ambulance or in an emergency room, and will be both cost effective and life-saving.
CTnI immunoassay testing Principle
After serum or plasma added to the sample well of the testing cassette, specimen will mobilize the gold anti-cTnI conjugate that is pre-coated on the conjugate pad. The mixture of specimen gold troponin-I antibody will move along the membrane of the testing strip under the effect of capillary action. When there is antigen in the serum/plasma, it will react with anti-cTnI antibody that is coated on the test line region, and "antibody-antigen-antibody" compounds will form on the test line. Then a pink or red color will appear, indicating a positive result. On the contrary, if there is no Troponin-I antigen in the specimen, the sandwich compounds will not form and no line will emerge on the testing line.
