Tumor Marker Rapid Tests Brief:Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) Rapid Tests AFP is the protein normally produced by a developing fetus. AFP levels are usually undetectable in the blood of healthy nonpregnant adults. An elevated level of AFP suggests the presence of either a primary liver cancer or germ cell tumor. AFP rapid test devices are designed to detect the AFP specifically and sensitively. Carcinoma Embryonic Antigen (CEA) Rapid Tests CEA Rapid Tests are a qualitative immunoassays for detecting elevated levels of CEA in huam serum. The concentration of CEA in the serum is used for the early detection of colitis and colorectal cancer. Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) Rapid Tests One Step Fecal Occult Blood (FOB) Rapid Tests are simple, direct binding immunoassay for the rapid and qualitative detection of human occult blood in faeces. The assay is designed to detect lower levels of colorectal bleeding than other biochemical detection methods. Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) Rapid Tests Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) is a substance produced by the prostate that may be found in an increased amount in the blood of men who have prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, or infection or inflammation of the prostate. One-step PSA rapid tests are a qualitative immunoassays for detecting elevated levels of PSA in human serum. |
