To perform a clinical test with an IVD testing kits, especially with ELISA testing kits, the procedures in the instruction leaflets of testing kits should be followed literally. Or else, the quality of the testing kits may be affected or ruined. For example, usually the diluents should not be added more than the instructed 2 ul or 3 ul. More diluents will dilute the specimen too much and false negative may occur if the tested specimen is weak positive. Another example, if the rapid test cassettes or strips are held vertically instead of laterally during the climbing process of the specimen along the test device membrane, the specimen may move too fast or too slow to give a correct testing result. That's why instruction of usage is very important to the correct results of IVD testing kits.

In the same time, although most parts of the procedures in different leaflets from different IVD test providers look the same at a glance, but usually therre are samll differences. And this differences are vital to the success of the testing procedures. So read the leaflets enclosed with the test kits is always advisable when IVD test providers are changed.
