HCV ELISA Kit for Professional Use

During the first incubation step, HCV specific antibodies, if present, will be bound to the solid phase pre-coated HCV antigens. The wells are washed to remove unbound serum proteins, and rabbit anti-human IgG antibodies (anti-IgG) conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP) are added. During the second incubation, these HRP-conjugated antibodies will be bound to any antigen-antibody complexes previously formed and the unbound HRP-conjugate is then removed by washing. The antigen-antibody-anti-IgG (HRP) immunocomplex then will be turned into yellow substances with certain treatment with the reagents in the anti-HCV ELISA testing kit. The degree of the color can be measured and is proportional to the amount of antigen in the sample. Wells containing samples negative for HBsAg remain colorless.
