H5N1 Influenza Test Strips
Avian Influenza Rapid Test Strip
H5N1 influenza tests are chromatographic immunoassay for qualitative detection of hemagglutinin (HA) of Influenza Type-A viruses and H5 strain in avian excretes, human nasopharyngeal aspirates/swabs, nasal wash, throat swab, chicken embryo whole virus inoculation or viral lysates, etc. This H5N1 antigen test is intended to be used as a screening device for the clinical identification of specific H5, type-A influenza viruses, and suitable for point of care circumstance.
H5N1 Bird Flu test assay principle: specimen migrates along the membrane strip under capillary diffusion effect, rehydrating the gold conjugate precoated on the strips. H5 Strain Hemagglutinin, if any, will be bound to to the anti-HA-Au forming some chemical complex. This complex will move on along the strip and come to the Test Region (T) where they are captured by monoclonal anti-HA antibodies previously immobilized there, and a visible red line will appear. Unbound complexes will move on to the control region, and be captured there, thus providing a quality control mechanism. |
