BAR Urine Screen Test Cassettes and Strips-CE marked
One-step barbiturate test devices, also known as BAR urine screen tests, are a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay kit suitable for the detection of drug barbiturates in human urine samples at a cut-off concentration value of 300 ng/mL of SecoBarbital. One-Step BAR tests use selected monoclonal antibody to detect elevated levels of drug of abuse chemicals, namely barbiturate and its metabolites in human urine specimens. Our CE marked BAR urine tests can be used as barbiturate home-test devices.
BAR screen test is an immunoassay based on the principle of drug competitive binding. With BAR Rapid Test, an barbiturates-positive urine specimen (BAR concentration >300ng/mL) will not generate a pink colour line in the test line region because of drug competition-barbiturate and its metabolites take all the binding site at the test region, making the color develop chemicals in the mebrane float away from the test region. When the specimen is BAR-negative or the specimen containing a drug concentration less than the above metioned cut-off value, the color developing chemicals will be captured by the binding sites, and a pink line will emerge in the test line region.
